Heir of Slytherin Challenge - Generation Three

Last time, in the Heir of Slytherin challenge, Danae completed her challenge and we left it with Jason growing up badly. Jason's challenge is as follows:

The Power Couple - At one time, the Slytherin's descendents were a proud, powerful and influential family. In this family, both the heir and the spouse mus reach the top of the political career track. For story purposes, this position is Minister for Magic. You get to decide how politics work in the wizarding world. The only restriction is that the first sim to reach the top of the career track must quit his or her job when the second reaches that point. At that point you're free to start them on a different career path

Atlas reaches the top of the Natural Scientist career track and gets the best work outfit EVER!

Jason searched long and hard (read: three sim days) for the girl who he had the most chemistry with and it turned out to be the ever beautiful Brandi Le Tourneau. After a whirlwind courtship, Jason asks her out to dinner.

And that's not all he asked her.

Brandi is clearly thrilled

So they drink to a long and fruitful life together

Meanwhile, back at the Slytherin compound, someone still remembers Claire, even if it is only the cat.

Joe plays the piano while Bailey "sings along". Seriously, it sounds cute in theory but not in practice...

Here is Gaia as a teen.

Grim waits for no man, not even one in his PJs on the front lawn in the middle of the night.

He was a busy Reaper that night in the Slytherin household.

Okay and NOW he is finally finished. At least Heaven got a good going away - the others fought with Him over their hour-glasses :(

Sharply feeling their own mortality, and wishing to marry before Danae decides to join everyone else, Brandi and Jason get married the very next day.

Oh yeah, that's the stuff. Bailey revels in the romance of the wedding....

And it looks like Brandi and Jason did get married in the nick of time. Goodbye Danae.

Unfortunately, Brandi popped just after Danae joined her husband. But how gorgous is Brandi after a makeover??!

Jason thinks about Danae a lot and her stint in Azkaban. He vows then and there that he is going to become ~~mayor~~ Minister for Magic to ensure that HE controls who goes into and out of prison.

Atlas is scared by his own twin brother while working out on the treadmill.

As soon as Brandi has given birth to Generation Four, she goes off to work. What a trouper. She sure doesn't look impressed, though.

Atlas dies. Jason is worried that Brandi doesn't like pearls.

At least *someone* cares!

But look! Here is our Generation Four heir, Lucretia. According to Roman mythology, among other things, Lucretia represented the ideal Roman woman.

Lucretia just adores Bailey and hugs him at every opportunity. Bailey endures.

Bailey takes up boxing. This may or may not be related to the constant huggings.

Oh yeah, Brandi was pregnant again. Can't have an heir without a spare! Bailey is the only family member interested.

Brandi and Jason are horrified when Lucretia comes home from her very first day at ~~school~~ Hogwarts to find that she has been sorted into Gryffindor!

Lucretia, on the other hand, is horrified at how stupid her Dad's cat is. She wishes she could get a dog.

Seriously, this is what Brandi does when I tell her to clean the toilet. Crazy neat sims

And here is a very good reason why I'm glad that little Mars isn't the heir.

Mars eats cat food - Lucretia gets an A+. Same parents. Very different IQ's.

Even at this young age, Lucretia is clever enough to know that her love life may not be the most fulfilling of subjects if she must marry a pure-blood.

Now that Lucretia is a teenager, and that stupid cat is no longer around, she decides to fill the void in their life with a dog rather than a cat. Brandi and Jason are horrified at her deicsion. From the day she ~~age transitioned into a red uniform~~ was sorted into Gryffindor, they suspected a blood traitor. With the purchase of Maxx the puppy, they know they have failed as Slytherin parents.

I think Lucretia wants to eat the puppy in this picture. Either that or get wrist surgery.

But Lucretia loves her puppy. She doesn't even mind when he puts his entire paw through her head and out the other side.

She loves him so much that she "forgets" to put him down after morning snuggles and takes him to school with her. The poor pup is starving by the time they get home and he makes it to his tucker bowl just in time.

Mars is just as upset at his sisters pet choice as his parents.

Even dead-cat-Bailey isn't impressed with the newest inhabitant of his old basket. And why yes, Lucretia is wetting her pants.

But remember how this whole challenge is supposed to be about Jason and him achieving political greatness? Well, he did it.

And here he is as ~~Mayor~~ Minister for Magic. At least he looks a little bit more pleaesd with himself in this shot. Perhaps it has finally sunk in.

Now that Jason is mayor, he feels that it's time to have a good heart to heart with Lucretia. "Lucretia, witches and wizards have cats. Muggles have dogs. You have to get rid of that dog. It's hurting our reputation," But Lucretia stands firm and refuses to get rid of her beloved dog.

However, fate came a knocking on the Slytherin's door in the form of the Pizza Boy (whose name I have conveniently forgot). Lucretia instantly fell in lust. Although he was an adult, PB could see that Lucretia was someone very special and they began to see each other secretly.

Lucretia warned him that they mustn't tell her father. PB wasn't too keen on this idea. Although he had no idea who Lucretia's Dad was (being a muggle and all), he couldn't see this ending well.

Even though he was dating a teenager and sneaking over while she skipped school, PB was an honourable man. When Lucretia talked about taking their relationship to the next level, he reminded her that she was still in school and that it wasn't happening until she was an adult.

Gaia aged into an elder (I don't think I even had any pics of her as an adult!!) and achieved her Lifetime Aspiration to be a Celebrity Chef.

With Brandi steadily making her way up the political track, Jason retires so she can take over his role as ~~Mayor~~ Minister for Magic when the time comes.

And now that Brandi has become ~~Mayor~~ minister for Magic, Jason's challenge is complete....

Danae's Challenge - Part Two

Last time in the heir of Slytherin challenge, Heaven's adopted daughter, Claire, was trying to kill of the heir, Jason, under the tutelage of her evil aunt Ruby. Danae finds out what is going on and knows that she must remove this evil spawn from her family. Does Danae's plan work? Will Claire be "removed"? Will Ruby get found out? Will Danae's husband Joe ever make an appearance?

So I neglected to mention what the challenge actually *was* last time. It reads as follows:
The Dark Lady: Charismatic cult leaders seem to run in this family. This generation's heir should gather a following and become a thorn in the Ministry's side. Her gruop objective can be whatever you choose BUT it cannot focus on muggles or muggle-borns. She can run her group any way you chose, but they must have at least two meetings and one "project" they complete or attempt to complete.

True to his word, as soon as Atlas got home from work, he called out for Danae to come outside and have a look

Danae, meet Bertha. This is how we are going to get rid of all our enemies. Bertha will eat them! no muss no fuss and no evidence

Atlas, this thing is incredible. Our future looks so much brighter now that Bertha is part of the family. Well, for everyone apart from Claire...

Against Danae's wishes, Jason went out and bought a kitty. (And yes, right about here would be where I got Pets!) This is Bailey. Danae was convinced that Claire would do something to hurt the kitten but her fears proved unfounded.

However, Claire still tried to hurt Jason at every opportunity by adding just a little something to a situation that looked completely innocent. Splashing him with water in the hot tub? I'm afraid not, Heir of Slytherin readers, that is not just water, it's acid. Danae didn't say a word as she could see that Jason was somehow, incredibly, completely fine. Tonight was going to be the night, she wasn't going to let Claire in on that little secret.

Under the guise of having a birthday party for Danae, her apprehensive family kitted out and funked out in the front yard, with poor Heaven being none the wiser.

Atlas was chosen as the one to do the deed. Loving his nephew and his sister was the only reason he would do this. He could see that Danae was right and he'd even seen a few of Claire's lamer attempts of killing Jason when she was a child. "Claire do you want to meet someone new?" he asked her, after she'd returned home from her part time job.

"This is Bertha, she's a special species of Laganaphyllis Simnovorii that we've been working on at the lab. Look, she wants to be friends, she's offering you cake!"

Trembling slightly, and feeling a little weirded out by a plant that looked like a cow, Claire takes the cake....

Heaven mourns her dearly departed daughter, only able to accept her untimely death as Atlas assured her again and again that it was an accident and it was over too quickly for Claire to have felt any pain.

Danae on the other hand, is jubilant! She writes in her diary about her wonderful day. Her children are both safe and she feels as though she is a complete success in her duties as a mother.

Ruby doesn't even bother to try and be sneaky, reading Danae's diary while other family members are walking through the house and watching tv. With an extremely self satisfied smile on her face, Ruby knows that this will be evidence enough to get Danae thrown in jail. Although she has not succeeded in her quest to have Troy as heir, Ruby knows that losing Danae will tear the family apart.

Early the next morning, whilst still wearing her pyjamas, Ruby makes the phone call. "Read the diary, you'll find a full confession" she says in a muffled voice, not keen to give away her identity at this early stage.

The ~~police~~ Ministry of Magic make their way over to the Slytherin household immediately and were aghast to find what that mysterious called her claimed was true.

Danae was tried in front of the Wizengamot and given the evidence, was unanimously voted to spend time in Azkaban. The Ministry of Magic had found the confession in her diary and had, under the threat of also going to Azkaban for being an accomplice, forced Atlas to slit open Bertha to find Claire's body. The Ministry did not know that Atlas had painstakingly sewn Bertha back together again as soon as they were gone.

Danae languished in her cell for two long years before she got cellmates, Jessica and Russ. They were both in for petty crimes and given the pecking order of crimes in jail's, Danae was the top dog. When Danae mentioned that she wanted out, no matter what, they were both keen to help her. Danae knew that her family would protect her and realistically, she was an elder, she didn't have an awful lot of life left to live.

It was Jessica, with her underworld connections, who came up with the daring plan. "It's happening tonight," she assured Danae. Jessica would not reveal the details of the plan, lest they get caught. However, Jessica did reveal that she'd found out exactly how Danae had been found out. "Does the name Ruby mean anything to you? Apparently someone called Ruby tipped off the ministry"

Through a mixture of daring, persistance , hatred for Ruby, and plain old good luck, Danae escaped from Azkaban. She went straight back to her home, and hid out in the garage for a few hours, worrying. What would her children think of her now? Would they understand? Were they still even alive with Ruby still in the house? The pain of not knowing was eating her alive.

As serendipity would have it, the very first person she ran into in her own home, was Ruby. Ruby had aged into a respectable looking, frail elder. Danae did not let this stop her in any way. "We are not children anymore, Ruby, these are not games. You were playing with my children's lives"

Troy, who had aged into a handsome man during Danae's absence, tried to point out that Ruby was only doing for him, what she had done for her children. "She was doing it for me, Aunt Danae, don't you see the similarity?!" "Don't fool yourself, Troy," Danae spat back at him, "She was doing it for the Slytherin money." I was perfectly willing to let you stay but no longer. I want you both OUT OUT OUT" Danae screamed, chasing them to the front door.

Troy and Ruby, realising a lost cause and a very scary Danae, thought it best to cut their losses and start their lives elsewhere. They never looked back.

Although wishing she didn't have to have another confrontation so soon, Danae knew that she had to go and find Heaven. She had to apologise and explain her reasoning as no doubt, Heaven had been poisoned by Ruby and after all, who knew how much was true or even had a basis in truth? Heaven was not pleased to see her....

Danae spoke, in her most appealing manner, and tried to make Heaven understand why she had done what she'd done. Heaven didn't want to hear any of it. Her pain was still too raw.

So while Danae went to bed, Heaven went outside to "talk" to Claire. "What do I do, Claire?" she asked her daughter's headstone. "Do I stay or do I leave?"

So upon Danae's return to the house, her challenge is finally complete. The next challenge will be undertaken by Jason, the firsborn son. His challenge reads as follows:
"At one time, the Slytherin's descendents were a proud, powerful and influential family. In this generation, both the heir and the spouse must reach the top of the political career track. For story purposes, this position is Minister for Magic. You get to decide how politics work in the wizarding world. Heir of Slytherin Challenge - Generation Two

As Troy grew up into a handsome child, Ruby felt those old feelings of hatred simmering to the surface again. If it wasn't for Jason and Gaia, her Troy would be the heir of Slytherin.

He was such a good child and such a contrast to jason. He did the dishes without being asked

Unlike Jason who was constantly jumping on his own and everyone else'se beds

And doing stupid things like drinking bubble mixture

Even though that stuff tasted nasy

And then there was little Gaia.

Seeing her family with children and knowing that she did not have enough time to have her own, Heaven decided to adopt.

Please meet Claire Fancey!

The very first thing Claire did was to go and stand next to Gaia's crib. Creepy!

Ruby didn't waste any time and told Claire about how her wonderful son wouldn't be the heir to the Slytherin legacy. Claire thought this was terrible. Already, she knew that Jason was great fun, but Troy was nicer.

Although when Ruby honestly told her that she was living with a family of rats, Claire seemed to think this was pretty on the mark.

Only you have the ability to crush them like an elephant stepping on a rat, Claire, Ruby says encouragingly

I will pay you everything I have if you are able to get rid of Gaia and Jason in any possible way. As claire had nothing, this was the most convincing of all Ruby's arguments.

Later that night, when everyone else was asleep, Claire snuck outside to look at the gun type thing she'd seen earlier thinking that she might as well get a move on with Ruby's plan. She couldn't quite work it out, though.

Claire enticed Jason with a good old fashioned pillow fight - little did he know that she'd sneakily put some rocks in the case.

Jason managed to stagger around the kitchen

before falling onto the hard floor. He could see the light - it was so bright...

Joe worries about Jason

And quickly goes to phone a doctor, gesticulating wildly.

The doctor recommended complete bed rest for a few days. Danae and Joe watched over him constantly.

Danae: "Joe, what happened to our son?"
Joe tells the story, illustrating that he thought Jason had been bit with something quite hard. They were both very uneasy with the thought that Claire had purposely hurt their son. So Jo decides to find out once and for all and goes after that particular pillow.

Joe finds the pillow right where Claire had left it. He hefts it, and runs to find Danae.

Danae and Joe confront Claire and ask her what the hell she thought she was doing, hitting their son with a pillowcase full of rocks.

Claire was not impressed that she was getting told off.

Claire, if you pull another stunt like this again, you can go bakc to the orphanage. I'll let it slide, but only because you're a child. Don't let me ever see you do this again!

As soon as Claire had left the room, Danae sat down and cried, partially from relief that her son was okay, partially in anger and fear. Claire clearly had some deep-seated issues.

Claire went into the lounge to get away from those interfering Slytheirns. She was very frustrated - she'd have to wait until she was a bit older to finish off Jason unless she wanted to go back to the orphanage - and that was a fate worse thatn death.

Heaven came in to talk to Claire, to explain that she had done wrong. Claire wrote it off as trifles - Jason had only to go to the doctor, it wasn't anything serious and she didn't understand why everyone was making such a big deal of out an innocent joke gone wrong

Although only a child, Gaia has worked out what is going on and shes not happy with Claire at all

The next few years passed uneventfully. Heaven achieved her lifetime aspiration and became captain hero (and an elder)

Thoughts of killing Jason were never far from Claire's mind so once she was a teen under the guise of wanting to be a celebrity chef, Claire made Jason her patented spaghetti and meatballs

Although they're a little green and the burnt bits are hard, Jason doesn't want to hurt her feelings and eats the meal regardless

Danae walked in on what seemed to be an innocent conversation about safes but upon looking at Jason's plate she realised that Claire had not forgotten her murderous ways, simply put them on hold

Danae demanded that Claire get here now and that Jason leave the room.

And it was right about here that Claire realised that perhaps she should have been a little more sneaky about her plans....

Naturally Danae wins and Claire vows that next time, she won't mess around with something like food poisoning, she was going to go the whole nine yeards. Next time she was going to kill him for sure.

The next night, Danae calls a meeting with all the adults of the house minus Heaven.

Danae outlines her plan; she needs their help to get rid of her but make it look like an accident. "But, Danae, she's only a child," says Jupiter who got changed for work and then sat back down again when he heard Danae's plan

No, we cannot film her every move, Atlas, she's bound to notice

Hours later, Atlas smacked his forhead, marvelling at his density. Why hadn't he thought of this before? He had the perfect tool to get rid of Claire and make it look like an accident to boot! He gave Danae a quick description and promised to bring it home tomorrow.

The Heir of Slytherin Challenge

Salazar is now an elder with some rockin threads.

I neglected to get any pictures of her as a child, but Heaven grows up into an extremely pretty teen

But she's still got nothing on Ruby - even Ruby with zits

However, they are still the best of friends, bonding by their common hatred for not being the heir. Ruby went a little too far on her starvation diet...

but Heaven (who is the only person who is actually friends with Ruby) was there for her to plead for her life.

Now, as I have learnt by painful experience, you can't just have an heir in a legacy challenge, you have to have a spare as well. So Salazar and Danielle had another baby - turned out to be twins! no pics of them as toddlers, though.

Here is Atlas, named after the God who held the world on his shoulders.

And his twin, Jupiter, named after the Roman sky god.

Although normally well hidden, Ruby still has hate issues

As bad luck would have it, the family were broken into later on that night. See Atlas in the corner thinking that his Dad could totally take the burglar.

Here is Heaven as an adult. Her lifetime aspiration is to become Captain Hero and she's just been promoted to Cadet. Those cheekbones could cut ice!

But aside from the tragic dress sense, Ruby aged into a gorgeous adult sim. I'm gonna breed her with Mr Big! I mean, maybe they'll fall in love?

And once again, Ruby is driven to excesses. Only this time it was exercising too much and being scared by her father.

Heaven once again pleads for her life

and wins!

Ruby is pleased. Justin Reamon looks on interestedly.

This second brush with death made Ruby face her own mortality. One day Heaven wouldn't be around to save her. No one else in this family would bother so perhaps it's time to find a suitable ~~sperm donor~~ potential partner and have a child of her own.

So the very next night, Ruby invites Shane over for a litte lovin'

So they are successful at the baby dancing but then the unthinkable happens (again!)

Once again, Heaven comes running

But she's not so lucky this time....

Danae as an adult

Danae gets married to Joe Travers. The twins in the meantime have gone off to colleage with the sole intention of getting that reserecto-tron thing. The magical baby music had just gone off before she died - I just couldn't NOT see what the grandson of Sandy Bruty looked like!

And here is a very pregnant Ruby

And it looks like she's not the only one!

This is Ruby's son, Troy. He didn't turn out half bad - certainly not the monkey baby I was expecting. However, his first memory is of Danielle dying :(

But here is the important baby - our heir, Jason. Named after the Greek hero and voyager, Jason.

And note that Danae is pregnant again.

This is baby Gaia, who is already dreaming of going to school and getting out of this crazy and very full house.

So what challenge will Danae do? Will Heaven ever get married and have a child? Will the twins ever feature again? Stay tuned next time to find out!

The Heir of Slytherin Challenge

The Heir of Slytherin challenge is much like a Legacy Challenge in that you must have ten generations of sims. However, the real purpose of this challenge is to fill in the blanks of what happens in those generations. There are rules like a regular legacy but there are challenges that you can choose to do as well! For my purposes, I'm chosing to make any service NPC a muggle.

I will link in the rules later but for now, I'm passing over to Tom Riddle.

On that fateful day that I visited my ancestors, I didn't just find my rightful locket. I found a box full of old photos. They were neatly ordered, possibly by my mother, and some particularly significant ones were stuck with tape in an old and battered album. I have lovingly restored these photos to share my ancestry with you.

Step back in time with me to meet Salazar Slytherin....

This is my great great great great great great great great Grandfather, Salazar Slytherin.

After leaving Hogwarts, he had to start a new career. His secret dream was to become a ~~Hall of Famer~~ World Star Quidditch Player so he dutifully started at the bottom of the rung as a mascot. Soon they would see his brilliance. As soon as he got that llama mask off....

Now aside from aspiring to become the ~~Hall of Famer~~ World Star Quidditch Player, Salazar is going Challenge Number one of the Heir of Slytherin Challenge which reads as follows:
This Don Lothario wannabe must maintain a high (80/80) relationship with three different women long enough to impregnate them and for all three to give birth. One of these women must be his wife and live with him throughout the pregnancy. Afterwards, however, she may get fed up and leave. this is the only occasion when a spouse can leave without death

Here is Salazar's first "love", Melissa Fancey. She's a romance sim, too, so it was never going to work between them. They have two lightning bolts though.

That didn't take long! Note that now Melissa has moved in (unbeknown to her, temporarily), the Slytherins are able to afford the beginnings of a house.

Having a few walls doesn't necessarily mean that you get to keep your shame private....

The papergirl is highly amused.

So to make a long story short, Melissa gives birth, catches Salazar cheating on her and moves out, leaving the baby (who you will see shortly) behind. So just who was Salazar cheating on Melissa with?

Enter Sandy Bruty - the scourge of legacy families everywhere. Sandy is very unfortunate to also be a romance sim and somehow, she also has two lightning bolts with Salazar. She also has Melissa's jeans.

Once again, it doesn't take long for Salazar to "work his magic". We've got to get these two women out of the way so we can get to our real heir! But you're just dying to see Melissa Fancey's child, aren't you?

Meet Heaven Fancey.

So even though Salazar is sleeping with a very heavily pregnant Sandy Bruty, he can't help but dream of the lovely Danielle. The one who is his true love, not just a paper towel to soil and throw away. Even if said paper towels do tend to come back and tip the friggen bin over constantly!

Heaven (who is having problems with her teeth) is very upset when Sandy goes into labour. Doesn't matter, kid, neither you nor the new sproglet is going to be the heir! Under the rules of the Heir of Slytherin legacy, you can't be. Although Heaven is looking forward to the birth of her new sister or brother about as much as a trip to the dentist, I am leaning forward with baited breath to see if I've created some kind of monkey baby! But as babies look extremely similar, I guess I'll have to wait until toddler-hood before I get any satisfaction.

Now that Sandy has dropped her bundle, Salazar starts romancing Danielle Thompson with a vengeance! Maybe it's the fact that she sits with her legs apart whilst wearing a skirt, but there's something about her that Salazar just can't forget. She's also a romance sim *headdesk* and like her pre-decessors, has two lightning bolts of attraction. She is aware that Salazar is living with Sandy and their new baby but he's given her the old line that he's only staying "for the children" and that Sandy doesn't know anything. Danielle readily believes him.

However, Sandy has other plans and confronts Danielle over a lunch meat sandwich. Danielle is obviously shocked.

After witnessing the reaction and ongoing maintenance (not to mention the exterminator bills) that Melissa was now requiring, Salazar decided to try a different track with Sandy. He admitted that he'd fallen in love wtih Danielle, that he wanted to marry Danielle and that he'd really appreciate it if Sandy would just leave quietly, oh and leave the baby with him.

Sandy: "Well, Salazar, you've got some balls. There is no way in hell that I'm leaving without my baby"

Salazar: "I'm not going to play games with you Sandy. I'm in love with Danielle, we're going to get married and she's going to move in here and we'll start our own family. Do you really think that having you around is going to be the most healthy of environments for our baby to grow up in? Think of the baby, Sandy, she needs to loving family...."

As Salazar has correctly predicted, the atmosphere around the house once Danielle moved in was tense. Sandy tried to exert her authority as "first in, best dressed" but failed miserably, mainly because she was in her pyjamas.

Even though Salazar had been honest with her and told her that he and Danielle were going to start their own family, Sandy just couldn't help herself. It was one thing to know it, it was quite another all together to see it.

Salazar simply left the room, feeling that he may have deserved it. Danielle on the other hand, needs to assert that SHE is the woman of the house now and tells Sandy so in no uncertain terms.

It was right about there that Sandy realised her mere presence was not enough to stop a love as strong as the one between Salazar and Danielle. She left, leaving baby Ruby behind to grow up with her father.

I had some wonderful shots of Tom's transition into a vampire but I can't seem to find them anywhere. It was bound to happen eventually if he kept hanging around Count Ryker. They had some pictures tkaen together and the next thing I knew, the "bite neck" interaction came up and the rest was history. However, I'm actually loking to get people out of the house rather than keep them in there forever so Tom got some vampricillin-D from the matchmaker and drank it at his first opportunity.

And now he's back to normal. Meanwhile, upstairs

Cole is actually a bit of a cad. He was married to Michelle but once she died, he slept with all her brothers. He's just been interrupted with her last remaining brother, Tom, who is still thinking about

yes, that is what they've just been doing in the hot tub. His children came home from work and saw him just hours before his death so they're not too happy with him right at the moment hence why no one is coming running to mourn his passing.

Literally two hours after Cole died, it was time for Tom to go - the last remaining person of that generation.

Now you may remember that although we love Lindsey to bits, she wasn't actually what we were planning for in that generation. So Lindsey actually went and dated the other two men who her mum had found was "acceptable" so we could get the green eyed child we wanted. Jason the streaker wasn't too fond of her so she is marrying Travis the exterminator. This poses a few funny problems. Although Ali and Travis have a very low relationship score since they haven't seen one another for years, they are technically still crushing on each other. So throughout the years, they are constantly furious with one another.

Steven was a little shocked to find that his beloved daughter was dating women and he walked away, not quite knowing how to deal with this. Michelle would not let the subject rest, though, and cornered him in the bathroom later that day

"But then she cheated on me and all my winters came at once."

Michelle knew that she'd told him enough for the one day, so she broached the subject again early the next morning. "Dad, you mean the world to me, and if what you really want is for me to marry Cole, I'm happy to go along with that. I do like Cole, but as a romance sim, I don't even think I'm possible of really loving someone."

So Michelle and Cole got engaged, Michelle's still not 100% sure but she does like Cole and she knows that he will be a good provider and he seems to like her, too.

It's time for Christopher to go and join his parents. This time at least the Grim Reaper allowed Christopher to get out of the hot tub (hence his swimmers!) and into the lounge rather than the fact that greeted his father.

Poor Cory is very upset, as was Ali. She got home from work to be greeted with the news and then spent the next hour outside sobbing in the dark. But she knew that she needed to go to college and join her brother and sister. Before she went to college she managed to get all her skills up high enough to get scholarships for each of them, plus get straight A+s and have a loving boyfriend in Amar. Is there nothing this girl can't achieve?

Now, I can't find anywhere the photos that I took while Ali was on her first date, so I'll just have to give you a rundown. She went on a date with Andrezj, the waiter at many of the downtown lots. They had a bit of chemistry but once she put out on the first date, it turned into a LOT of chemistry (turns out Andrezj is turned on by bathing suits and he and Ali were in the hottub). Ali really did like him but thought that he wouldn't respect her in the morning and that he certainly wasn't marriage material, so she went on another date with Travis Collins, the exterminator. They went to a place where Andrezj was the waiter and lo and behold, he had actually fallen in love with Ali and didn't think any worse of her for woohooing before marriage. However, the seed of doubt had been planted and boy is he angry....

So Ali rings Andrezj a few days after her disastrous date with Travis to apologise.

That cow is pissing Ali off to no end and she resorts to physical violence to get her point across since the cow seems to be oblivious to the fact that she's annoying everyone in the house and just won't leave!

But then Ali meets a streaker

Who is not really in the best position to brag about how when he kisses someone it gets "this big"

Ali immediately feels extremely comfortable with his nudity although she can't help but get just a little closer to sneak a peek at what is under his pixels.

So Ali has now dated all three possible men who had the eye/hair colour that I'm looking for in my next heir and the one with the most chemistry was definitely Andrezj. So it looks as though she won't have to settle like her mother did. But now it's time to go back to Veronaville and make an adult life for herself (while still living with her elderly parents, two uncles, her brother and her sister)

This is me as a Sim, and this is pretty much what I was wearing the day that I started my Legacy. Only my skirt is a little longer.

Boy do I look grumpy! I'm a family sim and I accidently put myself as a Sagittarious! My lifetime want is to get to the top of the Law Enforcement Career. I have two neat points, three outgoing, nine active, seven playful and four nice. My turn ons include fitness and facial hair and my turn off is stink.

Starting off with an extreme Legacy is HARD! But it's worth 2 legacy points so its worth it.

The first day didn't offer the Law Enforcement career so I had to become a recruit - I needed the money desperately!

But eventually I got a job in Law Enforcement and look, I've got a base to my house from a few promotions into the science career track which I went into after dropping the job as a recruit.

One week and one day after the beginning of my legacy, (as per the rules for an extreme start) I get engaged to Steven Dallas, the maid, who is still wearing his little pink gloves. As soon as I have some cash, that man is getting some new clothes!

And with no fuss or fanfare, we get married in the dark. He moves in and brings $12,000 with him! Woot! Steven is a family sim with the same lifetime aspiration as me- to be the top of the Law Enforcement Career

Our first child is a boy who we named Christopher. As you can see, I am large with child in the background again - lets hope for a girl!

Being pregnant sucks! I kept having nightmares and sitting bolt upright, most of them involved myself but the one pictured involved poor little Christopher.

Michelle goes on her first date with a friend, Amy. Michelle knows that she has to marry Cole, but she's not sure if he's really the one for her. She's far too young to be thinking about marriage just yet, but the good news is that Amy thinks she's hot.

It's not a true Sim date unless Mrs Crumplebottom yells at you. Here she is yelling at Michelle. Depending on the Sim's personality, they may cry, or yell, but not Michelle.

Both Michelle and Tom had the unfortunate fear of "being uneducated" on the day they were due to age into adults. Not willing to lose a legacy point this soon into the game, I duly sent them both off to college. Here is Michelle as a young adult. Nice outfit, I can totally see you wearing that ;)

Now, I'm sure you remember the small mention of Cole, the man who Michelle is destined the marry? Well I didn't get any pictures of it, but they went out, had a dream date but Michelle just wasn't really feeling it. She knew that she must marry him, but they had no chemistry. She decided to pick up the best looking person she could find. And who did she find but....

But lookie here! Although Kelly is attracted to Michelle, she is also attracted to Michelle's brother Tom. But where is Tom during all of his sisters cavorting? Well remember how one of his turn ons was vampirism? Well I couldn't let that go to waste. Introducing....

Uh oh....Tom is having loving thoughts about the Count.

And it seems that the Count is equally as smitten with Tom, telling him how much his brown hair turns him on. This won't end well, someone's going to lose an eye, or at least become a vampire... But speaking of things that won't end well....

That pesky cow came onto Kelly and Kelly did nothing to halt her advances. Poor Michelle was in the same room and is confronting Kelly with her infidelity. The cow promptly leaves the room. Michelle promptly forgets about the man she is promised to marry in regards to "fidelity".

Both women are heartbroken about what has happened.

Michelle gets over the sad phase and into the angry phase pretty quickly. She has a lot of angry, flaming thoughts about Kelly.

Or just about the cheating in general.

And here is where we will leave it folks, partially because I haven't played any further and partially because it seems like a good cliff-hangy place to leave it.

Will Michelle marry Cole, the man to whom she has been promised and settle down into a life of routine and drudgery or will her romantic nature be her driving force. Will she forgive Kelly?

And what of Tom. He's in love with a vampire who clearly reciprocates. Can love survive against these odds?

New Beginnings

You may start the challenge normally or you may attempt an Xtreme start.

Xtreme start:
You may start with either a graduated Young Adult founder, or a normal CAS adult founder. Rather than starting on a 5X5 lot, you must start your family in a 6X5 lot. The purchase of land will leave you with a meager $1,500 to start your legacy with. Furthermore, those attempting an Xtreme start may NOT move-in, marry, or merge households with any other sim for one sim week. Your found MUST be alone and on his or her own for one sim week. After that week has passed, the normal rules for Sims joining the household apply.

Why Do an Xtreme start? Legacy points my friends Legacy points. Nothing adds to honor and glory of a family quite like very humble beginnings.
An Xtreme start with an un-educated adult founder is worth 2 points
An Xtreme start with a Young Adult founder is worth 1 point.

If you do a normal start, the “no new family members for 1 week” rule does not apply.

For those with slower systems:

If your computer can’t quite handle a 5X5 lot or a 6X5 lot, do not fret. You can actually now starts your Legacy Challenge on ANY sized lot. Here is how you do it. Create your empty lot and move the founder in. Take note of how much the lot cost. Use the new Family funds cheat to subtract money from the family until they are left with $4,500 in starting funds (for normal starts) or $1,500 in family funds (for Xtreme starts

If you don’t want to bother with all these calculations and cheats, just start your family on a 5X5 or 6X5 lot; you’ll automatically have the proper starting funds.
This is the ONLY time the “familyfunds” cheat is legal in the Legacy Challenge.

Moving the Legacy Challenge household.

Many of those (myself included) who have taken their Legacy Challenges into the later generations have found that bugs start to creep into their lots. A bugged Legacy house can bring a glorious Legacy to a screeching halt. With the new inventory system, you can easily pack up your bags and move to another lot. The new lot does not need to be empty, it can have a house on it already, but it may NOT have a family in it already. The new lot must at least cost as much as the plot of land you started the game with (IE you can’t move to a new house and make money on the move.) Legacy Challenge Xtreme starters may not move during their 1st week of existence.

Downtownies

Treated just like townies. You may marry or move them in just like you can Townies and NPCs.

Community Graveyards

You may send your deceased Sims to a community graveyard rather than keep them on the lot. You still retain the points earned from the graves. However, doing this will eliminate your “Free Roaming Ghosts” bonus.

Rolling a 6 no longer allows you to “Pick your own” aspiration. Rolling a 6 now represents the Pleasure Seeker aspiration.

There is no limit to this bonus. Once you get 30 you can delete them all and start again, keeping note of your earned point (so the lot doesn’t get cluttered with elixirs). Moving in Mr. Big or the Diva –1. This is to counter-balance the huge sum of money and objects they bring with them. If your female sim breeds with Mr. Big without moving him to the lot, you still get the 1 NPC point without the penalty.

Most of you know that my last legacy crashed and burned when my computer bit the dust. It was the furthest I'd ever got into a legacy and I was devestated by the loss. But I've decided to have another shot, again including my Live Journal friends as my heirs. It really is a great way to keep motivated to continue! So this journal is no longer dead, it will be getting updates again!

Chapter Ten

I have this very strange bug where Shay has a teddy bear stuck inside her....

Oh no, Shay is being electrocuted by the garbage disposal thingie!

Now, remember this people, when you get electrocuted, your clothes magically vanish, your hair stands on end, your black all over and you are still staticky after it happens!

Sammy-Joe then goes into labour and the men seem to think that she's just faking that pain!

And here is the latest addition to my legacy, Tara! aka decemberine Green eyes and brown hair (brown is close enough to black and besides, once you get old enough, I'll dye it)

This shot was way too funny not to include - I'm lining up to get a close up shot of Tara the toddler and just as I press the button, bloody Adonis walked into frame! Sims are so much like humans its scary sometimes

Now that Tara is a bit more grown up, Sammy-Joe and Jerry decide its time to make it legal. Here is Sammy-Joe waiting for Jerry at the altar. He is a romance sim - will he actually turn up or will he break her poor heart?

He sure does turn up!

And boy is he pleased he did! He's married into a rich family which, if you MUST get married, is every Romance Sim's dream.

And they're the first Illustrious Legacy generation to actually be able to run off on their honeymoon!

So while they are gone, Tara decides to age into a child and promptly breaks the bathtub.

Lucky Sammy-Joe's vitals were good or she'd be following in the footsteps of her father and brother! These ghosts are getting really annoying.

We all know what happens on honeymoons, right? Welcome to little Andromeda - she has green eyes and brown hair just like her sister. As you can see, the family are right pleased.

But Andromeda proved to be a very trying baby. She had a birthday party and the works - the first Illustrious family member ever - and she refused to age. She still had a good party though which is pure arse.

This baby will just NOT grow up. Poor Sammy-Joe has to go in on the hour every hour regardless of what she's doing. This is her second time she's had to run naked out of the shower!

Chapter nine

Jonathan has become a robber and he's just not that attractive anymore - I've decided to kill him off.

I've heard of a thing called "death by flies" in which a messy sim steps over plates and is sometimes attacked by the flies thus resulting in a differing coloured ghost. (To the non legacy players - there is a points system in place (completely honour system of course since no one can check) and you get points for each different coloured ghost on your lot. The colours corropond with the way that the sim has died.

And in a totally unrelated topic, here is Sammy-Joe having fun and lowering her hygiene all at the same time! There is no way I'm killing her off - she's my heir!

And here she is as a child. She's looking very pretty :)

No one in the family is pleased about the state of their kitchen. I have roaches and trash everywhere as I did a bit of research and found that apparently trash works better than just plates - if anyone can confirm this it would be appreciated - uh oh, I guess I just gave it away that my attempt didn't work ;)

Ooh look, Travis is back!

oh god, what to do? In the middle of my attempt, Jonathan has contracted the flu! Do I continue on my quest of revoltingness or do I let him die of illness? This is a choice no simmer should ever have to make!

in the end it was not my choice, Lisa the ghost decided to scare him to death! That wasn't quite what I was planning but now I do have a different colour ghost so I guess its all good?

The family were quite upset but as I was planning on killing him off anyway, it seemed a waste of time to have them plead with the grim reaper for his return.

BLOODY HELL!!! Lisa the ghost just scared her second person to death in two days! RIP Apollo - that was definitely not intended.

Sammy-Joe is a fortune Sim and her lifetime aspiration is to reach the top of the business career. So here she is trying to find a part time job and thinking of all the money she could earn!

Sammy-Joe has reached the top of the teen career ladder and is off to a smashing start in life!

Adonis came over for a visit and simply dropped dead whilst playing the guitar! I guess his needs bottomed out - you'd think that he'd do something like stop playing!!

Shay to the rescue! She had a quick career change, gained the reserrecto-nomitron and called the Grim Reaper for a chat, demanding that he return Adonis immediately!

Because we spent the maximum amount of money $10,000 - it worked!

Welcome back Adonis! That whole procedure made me lose one point for my legacy. Bugger.

Apollo finally paid us a visit - we've been waiting a long time to see you again!

Shay is now an elder and her outfit is only slightly less hideous than mine was!

Sammy-Joe has her first kiss with Ralph Enriquez.

I am definitely getting rid of these instruments. Ralph is the second Sim to have his needs bottom out and die whilst playing. Only this time, its Sammy-Joe to the rescue!

Sammy-Joe is pleading with death to spare Ralph's life.

They have a game that consists of Sammy-Joe having to guess which one of the shiny balls is in which hand behind his back. Due to a high relationship score with Ralph, she wins! You can see the little death icon floating above her head - she has defeated death!

Death is re-animating Ralph. Notice the hands on hips - he doesn't really look too pleased, does he?

So after this wonderous event, Sammy-Joe goes off to college and here she is as a young adult. Although she has been promised to Professor Jerry Butler, she's still determined to try out a few things before settling down.

One of her very first wants as a young adult is to woohoo. One phone call to Professor Jerry later, mission accomplished! (well this is only the making out bit - it was accomplished not long afterwards)

Sammy-Joe, what have you done!? This confusing picture is basically saying, Sammy-Joe flirted with Roxie who was quite pleased about it and they became best friends, hence the two green smiling faces floating abover Sammy-Joe's head. However, Roxie is engaged to Jonah and has just been caught cheating, hence the broken knives stabbing through wedding rings hovering over her head.

But one thing leads to another and this is Sammy-Joe after her first lesbian experience ;)

After all the fun of college, its time for Sammy-Joe to graduate and move back to Veronaville. Here she is as an adult

Now *this* isn't keeping with the Illustrious family traditions. Sammy-Joe is pregnant out of wedlock!

Talk about an arranged marriage! Shay, although you have not yet met him, this man with your father is going to be your husband.

Travis is extremely pleased with himself. He's reached the top of the Law Enforcement career track to become Captain Hero! I wonder what his costume will look like?

Allright! My first impossible want in the first generation. Each type of sim (family, wealth, romance, popularity and knowledge) each have an impossible want. Lisa is a wealth sim and her impossible want is to earn $100,000 simoleans. Another point to my legacy!

What a big day for the Illustrious family. The same day that Lisa achieves her impossible want, Travis achieves his platinum aspiration of reaching his golden anniversary.

And here is the final shot of Shay as a teen. I'm about to send her off to college.

So here is Shay as a young adult. She's got her own place at uni since she worked so hard as a child and a teen, she could afford something nice with all the scholarships she got, including one for being a good dancer!

Shay has a nasty incident with a streaker, she's incredibly shy (only one outgoing point) so she exits the room as soon as she possibly can!

And as if dealing with a streaker isn't bad enough, poor Shay got robbed. Here you can see the policewoman (who was eventually victorious) fighting with the robber. An interesting note - the robber shares the same surname with Shay's future husband, could she have been robbed by her own future husbands brother? How is *that* for six degrees of separation! Eat your heart out Kevin Bacon.
Shay is very eager to get back home after all that and off she goes without even a graduation party.

And here is Shay as an adult. I've made my own personal rules in my Legacy challenge which do not alter the official rules at all. The first one is that each Sim must continue wearing what they originally were given when they aged into the next group. The second is that each of you who asked to be in my legacy MUST be in it! Hence my reasoning for not changing the Lisa Sim out of that hideous outfit.

Shay and Jonathan get married without any fanfare. I really should learn some patience and have a wedding party, but I'm all about instant gratification after I've worked so hard to get them to wedding stage!

And here is Shay about to be late for her first day on the job. Her lifetime aspiration is to be Captain Hero, just like her Daddy. And speaking of Captain Hero, we still haven't seen his costume....

And this is Travis in his Captain Hero costume. THIS?? is what Shay is aspiring to??? Well, we all know she loves Halloween.

Uh oh, Shay is feeling queasy....

Well, what do you know, she's not quite so super slim anymore!

I got rid of that extra weight I stacked on after menopause and apparently I think I'm pretty hot stuff, even for an elder.

Meet Apollo! I think he's waving at us. Shay went into labour as her hunger need was extremely low. Immediately after "giving birth" to Apollo, she popped him on the ground and went back to her Turkey dinner! Lucky real life Shay isn't that bad a mother!

It's time for Lisa to meet the grim reapoer. Strange how all the major events in her life happened either in or around the kitchen. She went into labour twice there and now she has her final moments there.

And here come the hula girls... The grim reaper has given her a suitcase and a daquiri for the "trip". She seems pleased, Travis and Shay on the other hand are devestated.

Shay says a last, teary goodbye to her mother.

But life must go on, here is Apollo aging into toddlerhood.

He's autonomously tucking in Apollo and he's not even a family sim! He's a knowledge sim and his lifetime aspiration is to be a criminal mastermind. Now that's interesting. His brother is a thief, and his wife will eventually become Captain hero (ie, top of the law enforcement career)

Adonis is now an adult. After a good mornings sleep, he's out of here!

bye Adonis! You might be able to just make it out but his thought bubble is a "pacifier" what we call a dummy, it means he's already thinking about having babies. Good luck with that!

That Agamemnon is one smart cookie. See that star over his head? that means he's just maxed out the logic skill. And obviously kept Patrizio playing for far too long as the red thought bubble means he's about to wet his pants!

I tried everything short of sending Agamemnon to college (a colossal waste of time in my opinion since he's not myheir), but I was unable to prevent this. Minus one point to my legacy, Agamemnon went into aspiration failure as he had a fear of being uneducated. Stupid Agamemnon.

Once Agamemnon got over his depression at not going to college, here he is seeking a little television induced fun.

Gretchen stayed at our house for far too long, she was having such a great time playing the piano. She has passed out and is in desperate need of a shower. Nancy is the same story!

Like all teens, Adonis is testing the waters by sneaking out with his friend. His friend is driving....and hey, wait a minute...that better not be my company car, Adonis!!

now that the kids are all at school, Travis and I decided it was time to send him off to work. This is his first day, he's a security guard.

This is Agamemnon is a teen. He rolled a two to become a knowledge sim which is a real shame. Knowledge sims are really easy to keep happy. Like Adonis, he's out the door as soon as he ages into an adult.

I've just come home to announce that I am now a "Business Mogul" and as such, have achieved my lifetime want of being the best in the business career. Shay seems very impressed, she's giving me a hug. Note - all three kids are in private school.

But its all got to end one day - I've just aged into an elder. And oh dear god, what am I wearing? The only saving grace for this outfit is that I seem to have boots on. I like boots.

Sorry girls, Adonis is gay. He's just asked his friend to go steady with him. Although they went their separate ways after the big question (and a hot and heavy make out session on the couch), the little hearts above their heads tell me that they're both quite pleased with the way that things have worked out.

Adonis can have the limo for all his sneaking out fun - I am now picked up by a helicopter!

Poor Adonis, he stinks again and now he's having a major tantrum about it. Note to self: buy bath when Lisa gets home from work, there should be enough money by then!

I tried just changing his clothes, but it wasn't enough. He needs a bath, damnit! Look at Travis's face, though, that baby is STANKY!

And now that the preparer was either in platinum or gold aspiration, the smart milk is working and we have a glowing baby on our hands who learns at the speed of light! Speaking of lights - I must get some of them, its very dark in this house. Heck, who am I kidding, I need windows!

Obviously we still need to have words with Travis about his housekeeping. How will this get anyone clean?

Although this photo, as it is taken front on, makes my stomach look deceptively flat, I've just been woken up from a deep sleep to the realisation that I'm pregnant again and my stomach has just popped right out!
Let's hope we have a girl this time :)

Poor little Adonis. His parents are too poor to afford a bathtub and he's too big to bathe in the kitchen sink. Notice the green stink clouds? He doesn't like his Dad very much right at the moment, and quite rightly, too.

The next sibling is almost here!

This is me, Lisa. I was created in CAS and went straight off to uni to get a good start to my legacy.

This is me at the beginning of my legacy. As you can see, once I've bought that huge chunk o land, I can't afford much else, actually the only luxury I have is the easel. But as I'm a fortune Sim, I have got my creative points very high so I can sell paintings and make money whilst not working. Cha-ching!

So my lifetime want is to be the best in the business career, so lets be a cop! Well, it was either that or starve. I don't really look very happy about it. I have a very weak stomach and some of the stories my brother in law (who is a cop) tells make me squeamish so that must be the reason!

Two days of being a cop was all I could handle. Now I'm in my desired business career track. Although I look about as happy about this as I did about being a cop, believe me, on the inside, I'm dancing.

Things are all going according to plan. I got promoted on my first day on the job because I chose to buy the Robotic Ants. And this man, my friends, is Travis Collins, an exterminator. And as you can gather from the photo, I apparently think he's pretty damned hot! He is going to be the first NPC in the Legacy bloodline.

The road to romance is well on its way. I was promoted again because I played a kick arse game of golf and for some reason, once you get promoted you get to go home for the day! Wooo hooo, long weekend! So to celebrate, I am going to be married by the end of the weekend (Its Friday night now)

Well I was going to wait for him to propose but what they hey, he said yes! And since he didn't have a red spinning ring (ie, a romance sim), I've decided that there's no time like the present to get married!

And since we're just by ourselves, here's our super fancy wedding. Next generation will get a proper wedding, we just can't afford it

And now that I'm the all important Vice President, I get a brand new outfit.

But I guess climging the corporate ladder will have to wait for a few days since I've just got knocked up! Wish I'd thought about that before I spent all our money on useless luxuries. (ie, walls!)

And we take a break from your regular programming to tell you a bit about Travis, the Sim who has made the next generation possible. Travis is a family sim who has a lifetime want to reach his golden anniversary. I'm not 100% sure how to achieve that just yet, but I figure if they're still married by the time they're elders, they'll reach it themselves and I won't have to do much apart from keep him alive. After I gave him a makeover and got rid of that hideous cap, he's actually not too bad looking. The only negative is that he's quite grumpy with only two niceness points. And that he's sitting in the dark since they can't afford lights yet.

And the next generation is on its way. Let's hope its not twins. After laying carpet to stop them shouting at me to improve the environment, I can't even afford one bed, let alone two!

Meet baby Adonis! He will more than likely not be the heir. Brown eyes and black hair. I think I might have some sort of bug in my game but its not a bad one. Whenever my Sims Try for Baby they ALWAYS end up pregnant and I NEVER have twins. Not exactly bad things....

And can we find a more appropriate place to bathe your newborn son than in the kitchen sink? (well its either that or the sink the bathroom and since we don't actually *have* a sink in the bathroom, we're left with no option)
